AN ANTIQUE GEORGIAN HAIRWORK MOURNING PENDANT set with hairwork beneath a glass panel, within a cannetille style border, the reverse with three strands of hairwork accented by a thistle, rose and shamrock motif, inscribed, 'Nemo Mortalium Omnibus Horis Sapit', no assay marks, 4.7cm, 17.9g. Accompanied by an antique fitted box and a letter stating, 'To my Godchild Bessie White I leave a locket with hair which was made for her grandmother (Mrs Taylor White) and contains the hair of the three women whom her grand-father admired above all others. The Shamrock (Letitia Dorathea Kirke) ? his wife, his cousin Betsy Burnaby, she died unmarried, & the thistle his first love Keith Ramsay sister to the 1st wife (Georgina Ramsay) of your great Uncle Ths. W. White. Also a gold brooch containing your grandmothers hair & wedding ring, which your grandfather always wore pinned upon his shirt just above his heart.'
Reverend Taylor White (born 1805-1853) was the son of Sir Thomas Woollaston White, 1st Bt and Elizabeth Blagg. He married Dorothea Letitia Kirke (?-1840) and had six children. He later married Charlotte Bates Crofts (?-1887) and had two further children. His elder brother Sir Thomas Woollaston White, 2nd Bt (1801-1882) married Georgina Ramsay in 1824. Georgina's youngest sister was Keith Alicia Ramsay (?-1836).

Band C- £6,001 - £8,000 Cost is £50.00
Band D - £8,001 - £10,000 Cost is £60.00
Band E - £10,001 - £15,000 Cost is £70.00
Band F - £15,001 and above Cost is £80.00
International Packages are charged as follows:
i) Up to £250 in value charged at £30.00 per package;
ii) In excess of £250 in value charged at £40.00 per package plus insurance at a rate of 1% of the total purchase price.
