Few gemstones display the extraordinary natural spectacle of colour seen in fine black opal. Celebrated for its remarkable play-of-colour, the gemstone reveals shifting flashes of red, green, blue and gold that appear to move across the surface of the stone as it catches the light.
The present ring is centred on a superb oval cabochon black opal weighing 7.93 carats. Displaying a vibrant mosaic of electric blues, bright greens and flashes of orange-red across a dark body tone, the stone exhibits a bold and lively play-of-colour highly prized among collectors of fine opal. Stones of this size and quality are increasingly difficult to obtain, particularly when accompanied by confirmation that the gem shows no indications of colour treatment.
The opal is framed by a dramatic cluster of marquise and round brilliant-cut diamonds, their scintillating brilliance providing a striking contrast to the vivid colour of the central stone. Created by the Italian jewellery house Salavetti, the design reflects the maison’s reputation for bold gemstone-centred jewels that combine strong visual impact with refined craftsmanship.
Combining an impressive untreated black opal of substantial size with a dynamic diamond surround, the present jewel represents a striking and highly collectible example of one of nature’s most mesmerising gemstones.

Band A - £2,501 - £4,000. Cost is £30.00
Band B - £4,001 - £6,000 Cost is £40.00
Band C- £6,001 - £8,000 Cost is £50.00
Band D - £8,001 - £10,000 Cost is £60.00
Band E - £10,001 - £15,000 Cost is £70.00
Band F - £15,001 and above Cost is £80.00
International Packages are charged as follows:
i) Up to £250 in value charged at £30.00 per package;
ii) In excess of £250 in value charged at £40.00 per package plus insurance at a rate of 1% of the total purchase price.
