Description

ALDO CIPULLO, A RARE VINTAGE JUSTE UN CLOU BANGLE, 1971 in 18ct yellow gold, designed as a nail, signed A.Cipullo 1971, stamped 18K, inner circumference 18.0cm, 29.6g. 

The renowned Italian born designer Cipullo worked with many iconic jewellery designers such as David Webb and Tiffany & Co before joining Cartier in 1969. It is here he designed some of their most timeless and iconic ranges, including the ‘Love bracelet’ in 1969 and the ‘Juste un clou’ in 1971. Both ranges, with their androgynous and yet timeless designs soon saw great success and cemented their place as some of the cornerstones of Cartier’s collections.

The Juste un clou bracelet:

Lots 82 and 121 are one of a few extant examples of the prototypes created by Cipullo and his workshops for the creation of this now iconic range and thus represent a rare opportunity to acquire a piece of jewellery making history.

International Packages are charged as follows:

i) Up to £250 in value charged at £30.00 per package;
