Post Auction

All lots purchased at auction and by Private Sale will be subject to a buyer’s premium charged at a rate of 25%* of the hammer price unless stated otherwise in the details of any particular auction. This premium is subject to VAT payable at the standard UK rate.

  • Buyer’s Premium is 25% (excl VAT) up to and including £500,000 for each individual lot, 20% on the excess up to £3,000,000 and 12% in excess of £3,000,000.

Congratulations on being a successful bidder in one of our auctions.

All of your invoice and payment information can be found on your online account, where all invoices, past and present, can be viewed. Information regarding payment will also be sent in an email soon after the auction has finished.

In this email, our Post Sale Services team provide an invoice detailing the hammer price, buyer’s premium, taxes and any other applicable charges.

Shipping information is also available and a shipping quote is automatically added to the invoice total for your convenience.

We accept all major credit and debit cards up to a limit of £30,000 and this can be made through your online account or via the payment link in your post sale notification email. For purchases over this threshold, bank transfer is the most convenient way to pay.

If making an International currency transfer, we would recommend using Wise (formally known as TransferWise), a service which acts to minimise the fees usually associated with international currency payments.

For our auctions, payment is due within five days following the auction.

If you have any questions/queries with the payment process, please do contact our Post Sale Services Team who would be happy to assist you.

We are pleased to offer a worldwide shipping service.

All winning bidders will receive a shipping quote added to their invoice total automatically. We use DHL Express for the majority of items and Ferrari for higher value items above £100,000. With DHL and Ferrari this is usually a next day service.

Once shipping has been confirmed, we can then then carefully package and ship your item(s) ready for shipment. Shipment usually occurs the day following cleared payment.

You may wish to collect in person or arrange alternative shipment using your own shippers, at which point, please contact Post Sale Services before making payment to remove this charge from your invoice and re-issue you with an amended total.

A valid government form of identification will be required upon collection.
